How to import from India · The story of an order

From one message to a delivered container.

Importing from India should not feel like a second job. Here is how it works with Entrevoverse Exports — chapter by chapter, from your first message to delivery — and why your part of the story stays short.

Exporter of record

Entrevoverse Exports

  1. Indian factory
  2. Indian port
  3. Your warehouse

One team carries your order the whole way.

Chapter one · The challenge

India makes almost everything. Reaching it is the hard part.

Every buyer we meet starts in the same place. The products exist and the factories are capable — but between your purchase order and a container on the water sit dozens of decisions, documents and people.

Tall stacks of paper files on an office desk
Without a partner, a sourcing project quietly becomes a paperwork project.

The usual way

  • Weeks spent finding and qualifying factories you have never visited
  • Capacity and certificate claims you cannot verify from a distance
  • Ex-factory quotes, with freight, inspection and paperwork added later
  • A separate contract, invoice and payment for every supplier
  • Export documents, customs and freight left for you to coordinate
  • Quality problems discovered only when the container is opened

So we built a different way.

You deal with one exporter. We carry everything between the factory gate and your warehouse — and take responsibility for how it turns out.

Chapter two · The journey

Seven steps from your request to your warehouse.

This is the path every order takes. As you read, notice how little of it lands on your desk.

Same-day review

Step 01 of 07

You tell us what you need

  1. Hands typing a request on a laptopSame-day review
    Same-day review

Step 1: You tell us what you need

It starts with one request: a product, a quantity, a destination. Drawings, photos or a standard help, but a clear description is enough to begin. A person on our sales team reads every request and clarifies anything missing before sourcing starts.

    Your part
Send product, quantity, specification, destination and timeline — by the RFQ form, e-mail or a call.
    Our part
Review it the same day, ask about anything unclear and confirm the scope in writing.

Our example order: 12,000 brass ball valves, ½″ BSP, with a test report, delivered CIF Rotterdam.

  2. Workers in an Indian engineering workshop inspecting a machineVerified network
    Verified network

Step 2: We find the right manufacturer

Your requirement is matched against our private network of verified Indian manufacturers — product fit, ready stock, capacity, lead time and certifications, one explainable check at a time. A person on our sourcing team makes the final call.

    Your part
Nothing. Carry on with your day — no factory directories, no cold calls.
    Our part
Shortlist verified suppliers, confirm current availability and rates, and check they can meet the spec and the date.

Our example order: Verified brass manufacturers in Jamnagar confirm the spec, their ready stock and their lead time.

  3. A team reviewing a quotation together at a tableHuman-approved
    Human-approved

Step 3: One landed price, approved by a person

Product cost, inspection, documentation and freight to your port go into a single quotation, on the trade terms you choose. Every price is built from real supplier costs and approved by our team before you see it — never auto-generated, never guessed.

    Your part
Review one quotation, ask anything, and accept when it works for you.
    Our part
Cost the order end to end, agree terms with the manufacturer and approve the quotation internally.

Our example order: One CIF Rotterdam price per piece, with the lead time and how long the price holds.

  4. A lathe machining a metal partOne contract
    One contract

    Step 4: Production, followed closely

You sign one contract — with Entrevoverse Exports. We place the order with the manufacturer and follow production against your specification and timeline, so you hear from us before you think to ask.

    Your part
Confirm the order and agree payment terms with us — not with a factory.
    Our part
Place and follow the order, share milestones and raise anything early, while it is still easy to fix.

Our example order: The order is confirmed and production milestones arrive as the batch moves along the line.

  5. A quality inspector checking fabric in an Indian factoryPre-shipment inspection
    Pre-shipment inspection

Step 5: Inspected before it leaves India

Before anything is packed and loaded, the goods are inspected against the agreed specification — quantity, dimensions, finish, packing and marking. Problems are fixed at the factory, not discovered in your warehouse.

    Your part
    Read the inspection report.
    Our part
Arrange pre-shipment inspection and resolve any deviation with the manufacturer before loading.

Our example order: Sample pieces are checked against the drawing and test report; cartons and shipping marks are verified.

  6. A port crane loading a shipping container onto a vesselEnd to end
    End to end

Step 6: Paperwork, customs and freight — handled

We prepare the export documents, clear Indian customs and book the freight. Your cargo leaves an Indian port with every paper it needs, and copies reach you ahead of arrival.

    • Commercial invoice
    • Packing list
    • Certificate of origin
    • Inspection report
    • Bill of lading
    Your part
    Nothing to file.
    Our part
Documents, customs clearance, freight booking and loading — coordinated by one team.

Our example order: The container sails from Mundra, with documents sent ahead so the receiving side is ready.

  7. A warehouse with stacked pallets and a forkliftTracked
    Tracked

Step 7: Delivered — and tracked to the end

Milestones are shared until your cargo arrives. One invoice closes the order, one company stays accountable for the outcome — and a proven supply line is ready for your next order.

    Your part
    Receive your goods.
    Our part
Share milestones to delivery and stay accountable for the order after it lands.

Our example order: The valves arrive in Rotterdam. One invoice, one contact, one exporter — from first message to final delivery.

Chapter three · How we help

Three things on your list. Everything else on ours.

Here is the whole division of work. The short list is yours; the long one is what we take off your plate on every order.

Your part

  1. 1

    Tell us what you need

Product, quantity, specification and destination — by form, e-mail or a call.

  2. 2

    Approve one quotation

One landed price on your trade terms, checked by a person before it reaches you.

  3. 3

    Receive your goods

Inspected, documented and shipped, with one invoice from one exporter.

That’s it.

Chapter five · Behind every order

The people and data behind every promise.

Promises are easy to write. These are the habits that let us keep them, order after order.

A team reviewing work together around a laptop
Software suggests. People decide.
  • Verified, not assumed

GST, IEC and certificates are checked, and manufacturers keep stock, capacity and lead times current — we remind them when data goes stale.

  • Matching you could explain

Suppliers are checked one criterion at a time — product fit, quantity, lead time, certifications, verification and data freshness.

  • People approve every price

Quotations are computed from real costs, freight and margin, and nothing reaches you without a person’s sign-off.

  • A record of every decision

Rate changes, verifications, approvals and stage moves are written to an audit log that cannot be edited afterwards.

  • Private by design

Supplier identities and internal rates stay private, and your requirement is shared only as far as needed to source it.

The heart of every order

Every product we ship is made by an Indian manufacturer.

They are long-term partners in our verified network. They keep doing what they do best — making good products — while we bring the demand and carry the export.

Chapter six · Questions

What buyers usually ask next.

More answers in the buyer FAQ. Something else on your mind? Talk to the team — we reply to every message.

Who do I contract with — and who is responsible?

Entrevoverse Exports. We are the exporter of record: you sign one contract, pay one invoice and deal with one company that is accountable for quality, documents and delivery.

What do I need to send to get a quotation?

The product, quantity, specification, destination and timeline. Drawings, photos, standards or a sample specification help — and if anything is missing, we ask before sourcing starts.

Which trade terms can you quote on?

Whichever Incoterm suits your logistics: EXW, FCA, FAS, FOB, CFR, CIF, CPT, CIP, DAP, DPU, DDP. Tell us your preference in the request and we price on it.

How is quality checked before shipping?

We follow production against your agreed specification and arrange pre-shipment inspection before anything is loaded. Deviations are resolved with the manufacturer while the goods are still in India, and you receive the inspection report.

Are your prices generated automatically?

No. Every quotation is built from real supplier costs, freight and documentation, and approved by a person on our team before you see it. Nothing about price, capacity or certification is ever invented by software.

Will I know which factory makes my goods?

Supplier identities stay private — it is part of how we protect our network and their rates. What you get instead is our accountability: we answer for your order from enquiry to delivery.

What if my product is not in the catalogue?

Send the request anyway. The catalogue shows what buyers ask us for most often; we source well beyond it across our manufacturer network.
